Serving Communities Nationwide
Driven by our willingness to challenge the status quo, our belief in others, and our steadfast commitment to social connection, we aim to discover a better world one community at a time.
I love the work that they have been doing in supporting and connecting communities through partnerships. I witnessed the power of KinectM1 when they organized a gathering of Latinx youth at a nature preserve in Door County. At that community building event students discussed what it meant for them to be welcomed in natural spaces and offered ideas on how organizations that manage natural areas could offer more ways to engage with their communities. One of the attendees left this reflection:
‘Me sentí animado por primera vez en mucho tiempo.’“

Kinect M1 has proven to be leaders in the “and” thinking—examining challenges and considering options rather than allowing barriers to stop the development of positive change. I have had the opportunity to work with them in multiple contexts. Their attention to equity and promoting change for the betterment of our community and youth is something that allows us to transform those communities as well as how we approach change—all which provide a lasting legacy for these change conversations. With Kinect’s vision and leadership, we have succeeded in making strides toward improving the future of Algoma.“

The team at Kinect M1 knows how to inspire and guide others toward a common vision. By partnering with others in Algoma they helped the community to win the competitive RWJF Culture of Health Prize. KinectM1 will generously share what they’ve learned and they will resonate with a wide variety of audiences; this varied appeal makes them stand out at a time when what we need most are leaders who can bring people together.“
